Gary Williams was born in Coulee Dam, WA and grew up in Kennewick, WA. His dad worked for the railroad and his family farmed the land they lived on. He is the youngest of two boys and two girls. Gary came to faith in Jesus in his youth and loved singing in the choir in his childhood church, Ascension Lutheran. He loves to play and watch most sports. He is an avid Chaarger fan. Gary graduated high school in 1965 and began working for the post office in that same year. He was Postmaster in Escondido for 25 years and retired after 42 years of service.

In 1972 one of his mail carriers introduced Gary to his daughter, Laurie. Gary and Laurie were married in 1975. They have four children, Gary O. (landscaper), Tiffany (Air Force flight nurse), Katie (2nd grade teacher), and Allison (homemaker). Gary and Laurie have five grandchildren, Kylie, Christopher, Ryan, Jax, and Jett.

Gary has attended LifeBridge Church for 25 years and has served in a number of areas. Currently, Gary is serving as Church Elder at LifeBridge.

In his retirement, Gary works part-time for the post office in Pauma Valley and enjoys golfing and fishing in his free time.
