Acts: Beginnings – It’s All Greek to Me

Sermon Questions for Reflection: Read Acts 17:16-34
1.
What ideas or motivations do we see in our culture that people get passionate about, like how the Greeks devoted themselves to philosophy?
2. What are the redemptive qualities in those ideas that we can affirm? How can we also speak scriptural truth into them? (For example: we can affirm the LGBTQ community’s desire for people to be loving toward one another.)
3. Name one person, family, or group of people that you feel the Lord has specifically called you to share the Gospel with. What are some practical ways can you do this using the model Paul has shown us?
4. We see three responses from the people Paul preached to: rejection, interest and acceptance. How do you think you will react/proceed if you receive each of these responses when you share the Gospel?
