Nehemiah (Part 5)

Nehemiah and the citizens of Jerusalem were near to finishing the wall, but other problems obscured the work. The poorer people complained of high taxes and interest rates on loans they were forced to take to pay off their debts. Their children were enslaved and their properties had been foreclosed, all by those who were their fellow Jews. How do we restore broken relationships with those who should have been our closest allies? We learn to listen empathetically, respond constructively, pursue God’s heart, and model integrity.
