How did you land at LBC?
Honestly, we were looking for a church near home to remove all the excuses for not attending church or participating in ministries because church was too far away. I had passed by RBBC numerous times on my way to Rancho Bernardo Community Park to walk my dog on the weekends, so we thought we’d try attending there. People were open and welcoming. We’ve been attending ever since that first visit.
What is unique about you?
Not to make light of people clinically diagnosed with this condition, but I seem to increasingly have Obsessive-Compulsive tendencies in terms of wanting things neatly in place, feeling that people who aren’t this way lack discipline. For example, if a pair of shoes is not all lined up perfectly, I probably won’t leave the room or continue what I’m doing until I line them up. I mention this because I used to laugh to myself when I saw my dad do this and now I’m likely worse than he ever was. Guess the joke is on me.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor, restaurant, and/or cartoon character?
If I had to pick a favorite flavor, it would probably be butter pecan. Tough to pick my favorite restaurant, but Gourmet Italia in Temecula or Eugenio Italian Ristorante and More in San Marcos are high among my favorites. Wile E. Coyote is probably my favorite cartoon character; I even wrote a college entry essay on him.
Name one of your talents.
I really enjoy creating spreadsheets. Using Microsoft Excel at work and getting good at it has led to my using it in my personal life for probably more things than I should …. at least that’s what my wife says.
